Our Community Forums series is on! Join us in the chapel on select Wednesday evenings to learn about and experience diverse and fascinating subjects that are important to our community. To keep up with events such as the forums, like our Facebook page. For more information on the Community Forums, email Rachel at RTernes@umcmission.org. All events listed below take place at Arch Street United Methodist Church unless otherwise noted.
Past forums have included:
A Community Forum Series, hosted by Deaconess Darlene DiDomineck and Christ Servant Minister Wilhelmina Young exploring the intersectionality of justice issues in our community, the systems perpetuating structural injustice and local and national movements for social change.
A Community Forum Series, hosted by the Reverend Robin Hynicka and Rachel Ternes inviting artists of all ages, abilities and areas of interest to join them in creating community art projects that illustrate and animate the pursuit of justice and the building of the beloved community.
What songs remind you of those you love, or how you love? Are those songs sweet to hear? Painful to hear? Both? Submit one or two of your love songs for a community mixtape around the theme “Songs that remind me of You,”, and come listen to the mix for about one hour in a commercial-free community forum. A modest dinner will be provided, all are welcome, and dance or rest are encouraged.
